On the Construction of new Spacetime Metrics using Partial Differential Equations

It is usual to give spacetime metrics by finding special solutions of Einstein's field equations. Then one sorts out the solutions with "realistic" properties. Here we want to present another way to construct spacetime models by using the so called cosmological observer field, proper time description and PDEs for kinematical invariants (shear, rotation, expansion, acceleration).

This approach, within the framework of Lorentzian geometry, will give new classes of models.
