"On Lattes maps"

Date: Tue, March 11, 2014
Time: 14:15
Place: Research I Seminar Room

Abstract: Lattes maps are a special class of rational maps. Historically they have been the first example of a rational map where the Julia set is the whole sphere. In many other ways they are exceptional. In this talk I will give an overview, as well as outlines of the proofs, of the different characterizations.
